Chan Layson is a commercial lender at BankSouth’s Lake Oconee office. A native of Putnam County, Chan has been in the banking industry for almost 12 years. With an initial career start in SBA lending, Chan focuses on wide variety of commercial loans. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia Banking School and Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking.
Chan prides himself on a customer centric approach to lending with a focus on the Golden Rule. He is very active in the Lake Oconee community and serves on finance committee of Lakeside Church and is a board member for Young Life. Chan resides in Greene County with his wife and two kids, Sadie and Charlie. In his spare time, he enjoys running, landscaping projects, and playing golf.
